Welcome to the West End HomeWork Club (HWC)! Keeping up with schoolwork can be challenging, and we're here to help. Our club is designed to create a safe and supportive space where students and their families can engage with the Australian Curriculum.
At HWC, our mission is to provide a supportive environment for students to complete their assigned homework with the assistance of educators and peers. Our weekly meetings ensure that students stay on track with their coursework and receive one-to-one or small-group support from experienced educators.
Our club is also an excellent opportunity for students to share knowledge with their peers, build relationships, and develop good work habits and a positive attitude towards learning. By participating in our program, students can develop the skills necessary to become independent learners and thrive in their academic careers.
So, whether you're struggling with a particular subject or simply looking for a supportive community to help you stay on top of your studies, HWC is here to help. So join us today and start your journey towards academic success!

The Team
Gwen Chew
I am a pre-service teacher with a blue card and a Mum to Alix (currently Year 4) and Luka (currently Year 1) at WESS. I decided to embark on an MTeach (Secondary) during the Covid lockdowns when I realised that I wanted to know more about the art of learning and effective teaching to help my children. My background includes an LLB /B(Accountancy and Finance) from QUT, many years in professional Banking and Finance roles, and as a business owner of an Investment Administration business.
Lauren Hudson
I am a pre-service teacher and mum to Max, a 9-year-old and Lucas, 6, both at WESS. I am due to complete my Master of Primary Teaching at QUT at the end of 2023. I also have a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies and have worked in Health and Fitness for over 15 years. In addition, I have a background in swimming teaching and sports coaching and have completed the Sounds-Write program with SPELD QLD (Spelling & Learning Difficulties).
